Schedule based on residents’ sanitation service day

As part of the Operation Spring Clean Sweep 2019 campaign, the DeKalb County Sanitation Division offers free residential bulky item curbside collection every Friday and Saturday in June, from Friday, June 7, through Saturday, June 29.

Residents have an opportunity to place bulky items, including furniture and appliances, curbside for collection by Sanitation Division field collection teams. Collection schedules are based on residents’ designated sanitation collection service day as follows:

  • Residential customers whose regularly scheduled collection day is Monday will be serviced either Friday, June 7, or Saturday, June 8. To prevent collection delays, items should be placed at the curb no later than 7 a.m. on Friday, June 7.
  • Residential customers whose regularly scheduled collection day is Tuesday will be serviced either Friday, June 14, or Saturday, June 15. To prevent collection delays, items should be placed at the curb no later than 7 a.m. on Friday, June 14.
  • Residential customers whose regularly scheduled collection day is Wednesday will be serviced either Friday, June 21, or Saturday, June 22. To prevent collection delays, items should be placed at the curb no later than 7 a.m. on Friday, June 21.
  • Residential customers whose regularly scheduled collection day is Thursday will be serviced either Friday, June 28, or Saturday, June 29. To prevent collectios delays, items should be placed at the curb no later than 7 a.m. on Friday, June 28.

For any missed collections based on this schedule, residents should call 404-294-2900 to be placed on a bulky item collection escalation list.
