We are aware that many District 2 constituents have been experiencing low to no water pressure in the Briarcliff/North Decatur area. We have reported all calls and instances that our office has received over the last two weeks to the DeKalb Watershed Management Department Director Reginald Wells, the Chief Operating Officer Zachary Williams and the Deputy Chief for Public Works Ted Rhinehart.

The Department of Watershed Management has been and is currently conducting further investigation into this water and infrastructure problem. Please find response below from CEO Michael Thurmond and in the meantime please minimize or restrict outdoor water usage in your area if you are experiencing low to no water pressure inside your home until the immediate problem can be resolved.

To report any water issue, please call the Watershed 24 Hour Emergency number at 770-270-6243 or email [email protected]. You may also continue to contact my office at 404-371-2863 or [email protected].

Thank you for your patience as we continue to address and resolve this matter.
